President and Chief Executive Officer

Deborah Pfeifle is the President and CEO at Gould & Lamb, LLC. Ms. Pfeifle is an experienced clinician, catastrophic case manager and life care planner with a background in  insurance related business management, sales, training and quality review. Prior to Gould & Lamb,  she worked in a clinical setting with medical-surgical, orthopedic, neurological and rehabilitation clients.   She has over a decade of utilization review, disease management, catastrophic case management and life care planning experience working for major insurance carriers and federal Medicare programs.  Deborah’s vendor management experience places her in the unique position of understanding first-hand the needs and expectations of Gould & Lamb’s clients.

Christie Britt, MBA, MSCC, AIC
Vice President of Operations

As Vice President of Operations, Christie Britt’s extensive knowledge of Medicare Set Asides and post-settlement administration  claims expertise offers client-focused solutions for Gould & Lamb’s extensive operations. Christie’s decade of experience in insurance claims management and Medicare Secondary Payer compliance provides enhanced products and efficiencies for Gould & Lamb and our clients. Christie is MSCC certified, is a member of the National Association of Medicare Set Aside  Professionals NAMSAP as well as the Workers’ Compensation Claims Professionals WCCP. She also has her Green Belt certification in Six Sigma.

Russell S Whittle, Esq., MSCC
Vice President of MSP Compliance

Russell S. Whittle, Esq., is the Vice President of MSP Compliance for Gould & Lamb, LLC. In his twenty plus years of practice prior to joining Gould & Lamb, LLC, Mr. Whittle practiced primarily in the area of insurance defense, representing the interests of large insurers and employers in both workers’ compensation and general automobile liability matters.  He also developed and supervised the Medicare set aside and Medicare Secondary Payer Compliance department of a South Florida law firm. Mr. Whittle has litigated both first and third party accident and workers’ compensation claims in courtrooms throughout Florida and also acted as a managing partner for the Fort Myers, Florida office of a large insurance defense firm.  In 1995 he earned Board Certification from The Florida Bar as a Specialist in Workers’ Compensation Law.

Rafael Gonzalez,
Director of Medicare Compliance & Post-Settlement Administration

Rafael Gonzalez is the Director of Medicare Compliance & Post-Settlement Administration at Gould & Lamb, LLC. His responsibilities include assisting clients with Medicare Compliance issues with a specific focus on Post Settlement Administration and client education. Rafael brings over 20 years of experience in the Workers’ Compensation and Liability insurance industries with a specific focus on Medicare Compliance. He has been responsible for all areas of Medicare Set Aside Allocations (MSAs) including the preparation of MSAs and their approval by the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services, as well as custodial administration of MSA accounts in no-fault, self-insured, liability and workers’ compensation cases.
